Certified Medication Aide
As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Your compassionate care and attention to detail will ensure that individuals receive the medications they need while fostering a supportive environment. You’ll work closely with healthcare teams in assisted living, dementia care.
What you’ll do
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor and document patients' vital signs, medication responses, and any changes in their condition.
- Assist with daily living activities, providing compassionate support to residents with diverse needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for efficient patient management.
- Engage positively with residents, families, and team members to foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Basic qualifications
- Certification as a Medication Aide or equivalent training recognized by state regulations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs monitoring.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in assisted living or nursing home settings.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Background in hospice care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Proven ability to provide senior care, including memory care and home & community care experience.
