The Gardens at Camp Hill is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Nursing Scheduler / Medical Records Clerk to join our skilled nursing team. This dual-role position supports high-quality resident care by ensuring proper staffing coverage while maintaining accurate and compliant medical records.
Position Details
Full-Time
Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility required
Pay rate negotiable based on experience
Key Responsibilities
Nursing Scheduler Duties
Develop, publish, and maintain monthly nursing staff schedules
Manage daily schedule adjustments and approve trades as delegated by the Director of Nursing (DON)
Track and document call-offs, tardiness, early arrivals, and attendance trends
Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure attendance policies are applied consistently
Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports within required timeframes
Provide staffing reports to the DON and Administrator, including:
Staffing levels
Open shifts and vacancies
Agency utilization
Assist with staffing coverage and scheduling needs in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Medical Records Duties
Maintain resident medical records in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
Ensure all resident charts are complete, accurate, and properly filed
Process admissions, discharges, and transfers related to medical record documentation
Monitor record completion and follow up on missing documentation
Assist with medical record audits and compliance reviews
Maintain confidentiality of resident information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Prepare records and documentation for surveys, audits, and inspections as requested
Qualifications
Previous scheduling experience required; healthcare experience strongly preferred
Medical records experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred
Strong computer and technical skills required
Knowledge of HIPAA and medical record management practices preferred
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines
High attention to detail and accuracy
