Currently seeking a full-time HEALTH SERVICES COORDINATOR in our compassionate, faith based, non-profit Assisted Living community in Kansas City, MO. This role will assist our Health Services Director (Director of Nursing) with leading the care team in our community.
The right nurse candidate will have strong attention to detail and organizational skills, show high emotional intelligence and compassion for our seniors, and enjoy working with people from different backgrounds. This role requires the right blend of nursing, leadership, and administrative skills.
SOME DUTIES INCLUDE
- Tag-teams scheduling and staffing with Health Services Director and other Coordinators, including recruiting, screening, and selecting new hires.
- Guides the care staff by providing training, setting clear expectations of performance, and following-up to ensure those expectations are met.
- Maintains open, honest communication with the Health Services Director and leadership team to ensure a positive team environment.
- Assesses potential and current residents to ensure their current level of care is appropriate to their needs, and meets with resident and/ or family members to discuss Plan of Care.
- Monitors and assists with personal care of residents, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, toileting, grooming and ambulating/transferring as needed.
- Forms and maintains positive and informative relationships with residents and their families and answers questions regarding resident’s care.
- Oversees documentation, charting and medication administration.
- Receives physician’s orders and maintains MAR.
- Processes physician’s orders, new admissions, and discharges.

- Must be able to cover shifts as needed
- Possess excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to be on-call with scheduled floor time every other weekend
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Current LPN license
- Preferred: Proven, positive leadership experience in a geriatric care environment.
