Overhead Door Installer

The Garage Door Guys is located in North Haven, CT and owned by Pierre Cruz and Carlos Marcano.

We're seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, and skilled professional to be our next garage door installer. You will be responsible for visiting homes and businesses, measuring, and installing a variety of garage doors and operators per manufacturer specifications. The ideal candidate will be able to install, troubleshoot, and finish trim work. We need someone who makes it a priority to provide excellent service to our customers. The full-time (35-40 hours) Garage Door Installer will be responsible to be at job sites to install and/or repair residential and commercial doors and motors in new and existing buildings using hand tools and power tools (tools must be provided by employee).

Key responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be able to install wood and steel doors with all the hardware necessary to finish the job at hand including motors. Troubleshoot/assure that doors and motor are fully functioning before leaving the site and finish trim work. Communicate with the owner and or person in charge at worksite. Clean up all construction materials and tools.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of work experience in construction, garage door installation
• Someone who makes it a priority to provide excellent service to our customers
• Must be a strong problem solver and communicator, and be able to work with a team
• Skill in using hand and power tools
• Knowledge of spring replacements
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer satisfaction skills
• Expertise in hardware installation
• Capable of heavy lifting and carrying equipment as needed
• Ability to climb ladders and handle heights
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Current driver’s license and excellent driving record
