What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Sales Associate position at The Game Cave?
This is a part-time job for a sales associate at a local Nashville retail Game Store. We primarily focus in selling trading card games, board games, role playing games, miniature games and hobby supplies. We also regularly run events and tournaments for these product lines. We are currently looking for a part-time associate to work between 15-20 hours a week. This role will be a starting position mainly assisting in busier times in our current schedule to act as an extra set of hands as well as ensuring the store is well stocked and that customers are greeted and helped as they shop through the store. This job can lead to additional hours and potentially a full-time position depending on performance. Hours will vary, but weekend and night/closing availability is required.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting customers in the checkout process and making sure they've found everything they're looking for.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries, product selection, and purchases.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking merchandise and ensuring proper product placement.
- Refilling shipping materials so that online orders can be filled in a timely manner.
- Packaging and shipping online orders.
- General dusting, cleaning, taking out trash to make sure the store is looking it's best.
Experience:
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is required.
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory, stock levels, and display areas.
- Ability to effectively sell products by understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Can effectively work on menial and repetitive tasks during downtime.
- Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with customers and address their concerns or questions.
- Basic knowledge of retail math for calculating discounts, sales tax, and totals.
- Available during evenings and weekend is required.
- Knowledge and understanding of trading card games, board games, role playing games, etc. is preferred, but not required.
