What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at The Galway Local?
We are looking for a line cook to join our team!
We are a cafe and grocery store in the town of Galway, NY. Our cafe offers diner classics, sandwiches and salads, as well as fresh, locally sourced and upscale dishes reflecting our European travels. Our grocery provides all the essentials for the community as well as freshly made grab&go meals and sides to heat at home.
One or more years of professional training and/or experience (unpaid/volunteer/catering also considered) is necessary, and we will teach you the rest if you are willing to learn, open to new ideas, and eager to work.
We hire all ages and backgrounds - attitude and competence matter more to us than degrees or resumes.
This can be a part time or full time position depending on your requirements, of 20 to 40 hours, with one weekend day required most weeks. Pay is commensurate with experience and includes tips which are pooled and shared between all staff. Benefits include a meal on shift and staff discount on store purchases.
