Position Description
The Dispensary Associate supports daily retail operations on the licensed premises by assisting with customer intake, verification, transaction processing and general operational support. All duties are performed in compliance with New York Cannabis Law, OCM regulations, and internal policies. Dispensary Associates may rotate between greeting and sales floor duties based on operational needs.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Greet customers and visitors professionally
- Verify customer identity and eligibility as required by law
- Process transactions using approved systems
- Provide factual, non-promotional information as permitted
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the licensed premises
- Follow security, cash-handling, and compliance procedures
Primary Objectives
- Ensure a safe, compliant and respectful customer experience
- Support efficient daily operations
- Uphold regulatory and company standards
Minimum Job Requirements
- Applicants must be 21 years of age or older
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Cash Handling experience
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Retail or customer service experience preferred
- Inventory experience preferred
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and move throughout an 8-hour shift
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
Work Environment
- Regulated retail environment with compliance and security requirements
