Food Runner/Busser

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately while maintaining high standards of customer service. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of food safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy in orders.
• Assist servers by providing support during busy service periods and helping to clear tables as needed.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure all orders are prepared correctly and meet food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including assisting with restocking supplies as necessary.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and assisting with any special requests.
• Familiarize yourself with the menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests effectively.
• Utilize Aloha POS system for order tracking and communication with the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel, hospitality, or restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests.
• A commitment to providing excellent customer service and a positive dining experience.
• Basic knowledge of food safety practices is essential; food service certification is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Willingness to help team members as needed and adapt to changing priorities throughout shifts.
• A passion for food and an eagerness to learn about cooking techniques and menu items.
