Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines and equipment to wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing with precision and care
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and washing requirements to ensure optimal cleaning results
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by organizing supplies, disinfecting machines, and adhering to safety protocols
- Handle special cleaning requests such as dry cleaning or stain removal with professionalism and attention to detail
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when restocking is needed
- Follow established procedures for proper handling of delicate or valuable items to prevent damage
- Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness of guest areas by supporting housekeeping staff as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is highly preferred but not required
- Knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, ironing, and dry cleaning processes
- Strong understanding of cleaning standards and safety procedures in a hospitality environment
- Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining quality standards
