POSITION SUMMARY
The Receptionist is responsible for greeting people as they enter the community and answering the facility phones. The Receptionist is also responsible for general clerical duties in support of the Business Office Manager, Marketing Director and the Executive Director.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Process all resident requests for a la carte services including faxes and copies.
· Greet all residents and visitors and provide assistance or direction.
· Answer phones appropriately and forward mail.
· Write up sick tray requests.
· Provide clerical assistance to the Office Manager, Executive Director, and Marketing Director, as assigned.
· Sell Dr. & shopping van tickets during shift.
· Submit completed maintenance requests.
· Distribute all incoming mail and packages to staff members and residents.
· Cash personal checks
· Call residents on meal check programs if resident does not sign in for meals
· Respond to resident medical and other emergencies, following policies and procedures.
· Maintain cash drawer stamp box during shift.
· Collect rent, guest meal and other payments
· Update Resident Contact List
· Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Employee must speak, understand and write fluently in English
· Employee must have a neat and clean appearance and adhere to the Uniform Policy for their position
· Employee must be familiar with employment practices as detailed in the Employee Handbook
· Employee is required to work their assigned schedule
· Maintain good company relations by delivering prompt, warm and courteous service in a manner consistent with our philosophy. Provide overall support which assists communities in resident and employee management and retention
· Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions
· Capable of working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Physical Requirements
Some physical demands of the job may include: sitting, walking, standing, lifting, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, carrying, and squatting intermittently throughout the day. Employee may be required to lift objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds unassisted.
