This employment services coordinator is responsible for the supervision and oversight of employment services at the program level with a focus on job retention for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Organizational and technology skills is a must along with a personal value system that recognizes the importance of people, relationships and employment.
Position does not require prior experience with people with disabilities. Prior administrative experience is a must.
The employment services coordinator is the key liaison between job coaches, funders, transportation and home based supports. The management responsibilities requires oversight of staff (job coaches), documentation and billing.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: (include, but not limited to)
- Promotes a positive work attitude, facilitates scheduling and prioritization of employment services assignments.
- Approves documentation and payroll for employment services and travel
- Promotes and coaches employment team members with a focus on supporting people to perform work responsibilities that foster work independence, reduced reliance on supports, increased use of technology and development of social networks.
- Communicates authorizations, utilizations and prioritization of needs.
- Ensures accuracy, timeliness and completeness of reports.
- Coordinates transportation and service need.
- Serves as a liaison between the funder/service coordinators and other team members to facilitate pro-active communication and advocacy for services.
- Attends and participates in team meetings providing input including but not limited to recommendations for outcomes and service authorization projections.
- Ensures compliance with documentation, reporting, weekly billing and report submissions.
- Maintains a professional appearance and positive demeanor as a community contact and organizational representative.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
