We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist who will be responsible for ensuring our physical inventory matches our inventory system by maintaining accurate inventory throughout our warehouse and retail locations.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform scheduled inventory and cycle counts throughout the warehouse and showroom locations.
- Operate a warehouse stock picker to safely access elevated furniture rack locations.
- Travel to all six showroom locations as needed to perform counts and investigate inventory issues.
- Scan and verify merchandise located throughout warehouse racking.
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Verify physical inventory against inventory system records.
- Identify missing, misplaced, damaged, incorrectly tagged, or incorrectly received merchandise.
- Review inventory movements and assist in identifying the cause of inventory errors.
- Work with warehouse management and staff, and store personnel to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Ensure merchandise is properly identified, tagged, located, and accounted for.
- Assist with inventory audits and inventory-related reporting.
- Help identify opportunities to improve inventory procedures and reduce inventory errors.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate inventory issues to management.
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel between our Bradenton-area warehouse and six showroom locations.
- Possess basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Comfortable researching discrepancies and solving problems.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn inventory management systems.
- Comfortable operating a warehouse stock picker and working around elevated warehouse racking.
- Ability to safely access and scan merchandise stored in upper rack locations.
- Good communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Ability to work effectively with warehouse employees, store personnel, and management.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work in both warehouse and retail environments.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful but not required.
