Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing educational activities that promote childhood development and learning.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for children.
- Provide individualized attention to children, especially those with special needs or disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation.
- Help with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and outdoor play to promote healthy habits.
- Monitor children’s behavior and implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions.
- Support with classroom cleanliness and organization to maintain a hygienic learning space.
- Collaborate with staff and caregivers to communicate children's progress and address any concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or babysitting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hire.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom activities effectively and foster positive behavior management.
- Compassionate caregiving skills with a genuine passion for working with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
