OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

This is an assembly position responsible for building, insulating, and testing of boilers and associated sub assembly parts. The successful candidate will come with good attitude, a can-do spirit, and the ability to learn and complete assigned tasks efficiently, correctly, and in alignment with the Company values and operating philosophy. Work tends to involve standard prints and higher volume/repetitive work.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Assemble boilers according to drawings and instruction using complex tools.
• Connect pipe, pipe fittings.
• Perform complex testing activities
• Follow all safe working practices working with hand tools, machines and vehicles.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience):

• High School diploma or GED
• Read and interpret complex drawings required to complete custom work
• Good physical stamina
• Ability to work independently and perform assigned tasks with minimal instruction
• Steel plate forming and welding experience is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Heavy Work – Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently. Frequent standing and walking.
• Bending/Stooping – Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Full motion of the body, lower extremities and back muscles.
• Ability to run a sand rammer for extended periods of time.
• Respirator - Must be able to use a respirator and may be exposed to dust and fumes.
