Description

The Frosted Sheep Bake Shop, located in the Canton Village shops in Canton, CT is seeking an experienced and passionate retail associate to join our team.  The Frosted Sheep Bake Shop is committed to providing its customers with exceptional baked goods made with premium ingredients and a focus on flavor.  And, providing a great customer experience is at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities:

Retail

• Assist customers with product selection and take orders.
• Ring up sales for walk-in customers.
• Provide customers who pre-ordered product with their orders—confirming that what they ordered is what is in their package.
• Address any customer issues.
• Merchandise the display cases, ensuring products are properly labeled and priced.
• Follow open and/or close procedures for managing the cash drawer.
• Ensure retail space is clean and tidy, regularly sweeping the floor, wiping down counters and doors.
• As needed, make sure walkways are clear and salted during snow days.

Kitchen

• Pack and label cookies and cupcakes in boxes for customer pickup.
• Prepare trays of baked goods for retail display.
• Assist with cleaning of bakery equipment.

Other

• Assist owner with the creation of creative content for posting on social media.
• Assist owner with managing and tracking online orders and ensure bakery has visibility into future orders.

Qualifications:

• Strong customer service focus.
• Friendly and collaborative; able to work with a diverse group of employees and the public.
• Ability to operate to learn and operate a point-of-sale system, including assisting with inventory updates.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be 16 years of age (working papers required if under age 18).
• Ability to take and pass the ServSafe Food Handler certification prior to the start of employment (paid for by The Frosted Sheep Bake Shop).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
