What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospitality Manager position at The Front Porch?
Hospitality Director
The Front Porch | American Fork, Utah | Full-Time
Make Room to Linger
The Front Porch is a reflexology and wellness hospitality concept opening this Fall in American Fork. We're built entirely around the communal experience — guests gather together for a shared foot soak, phone-down intention-setting, reflexology, and a reflective close. It's group by design, wrapped in warm, Magnolia-inspired hospitality. We're looking for a Hospitality Director to help bring that vision to life and lead the guest experience from the ground up.
About the Role
As Hospitality Director, you'll be the heartbeat of The Front Porch — responsible for how every guest feels the moment they walk through our doors. You'll lead our host and technician team, oversee daily operations, and ensure our communal group sessions run smoothly and beautifully. You'll also help host special group celebrations — bridal parties, ladies' nights out, and corporate events — coordinating catering and other event details to make each gathering feel seamless. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a brand-new hospitality concept from pre-opening through launch and beyond.
What You'll Do
- Own the guest experience end-to-end: greeting, seating, pacing, and the small details that make people feel cared for
- Hire, train, and lead our host and front-of-house team
- Manage day-to-day operations: scheduling, booking systems, and studio flow across our group rooms
- Plan and coordinate group celebrations and private bookings — bridal parties, ladies' nights out, corporate events — including catering and other vendor/event logistics
- Partner with ownership on staff training, service standards, and brand consistency
- Oversee inventory and presentation for our boutique retail offerings
- Troubleshoot in real time — this is a hands-on leadership role, not a behind-a-desk one
- Help build and refine our operating rhythms as we move from pre-opening into a fully running studio
What We're Looking For
- Experience in hospitality, spa/wellness, or guest-services leadership
- A genuine warmth with people, paired with the organizational chops to run a tight ship
- Comfort building systems and processes from scratch — we're a startup, and things won't always be fully defined yet
-Willingness to certify as a reflexology service provider
- Strong people-management instincts: hiring, training, and motivating a team
- Event or private-party coordination experience a plus — comfort working with catering vendors and managing the moving pieces of a group celebration
- Someone who notices details and cares about getting them right
- Flexibility to work some evenings/weekends
