Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will support various marketing initiatives, assist in the execution of campaigns, and contribute to the overall success of our marketing strategies. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the marketing field while working with a collaborative team.
Duties
- Assist in the creation and scheduling of social media content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Draft and design content for newsletters, email campaigns, flyers, and brochures
- Support the planning, promotion and execution of agency marketing initiatives and special events, including activities related to the Agency's 40th Anniversary Celebration
- Help maintain the Agency’s website by updating content and posting blogs
- Organize and archive digital assets (photos, graphics, and videos) to ensure ease of access and branding consistency
- Assist with graphic design and layout using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or other graphic design software
- Monitor marketing analytics (social media engagement, email open rates, etc.)
- Attend client-focused events and program activities to capture photos, gather content, and support storytelling across marketing platforms
- Help with content proofreading, formatting, and visual consistency across platforms
- Support public relations activities such as compiling press lists, writing press releases, and tracking media coverage
- Support the creation of client and program videos for use in digital marketing, events, and community outreach
- Help maintain and update marketing calendars and project timelines
- Ensure all communications align with the Agency’s voice, values, and brand guidelines
Team Collaboration
- Attend bi-weekly Development Team and Staff meetings
- Work closely with the Foundation Relations & Marketing Manager to prioritize and execute tasks
- Coordinate with other staff as needed to gather stories, photos, and updates for content
- Provide logistical marketing support during special events and fundraising campaigns (e.g., set-up, signage, capturing photos)
- Attend both community and Agency events (e.g. Project Joy and Gourmet Festival & Auction)
- Represent the agency at various volunteer/resource fairs
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field (or currently pursuing a degree)
- 1-2 years of experience in a marketing or communications role preferred (internships acceptable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content scheduling tools
- Working knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or other graphic design software
- Experience in video creation such as Animoto or other video design platforms is a plus
- Experience with WordPress and email platforms such as Constant Contact is a plus
- Highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

This part-time, in person, hourly position (20 hours per week) offers an excellent opportunity for growth within the marketing field while contributing to impactful projects.
