The Friends Learning Center is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Part-Time Early Childhood Educator to join our team. TFLC is a literacy enrichment center offering small-group classes for preschool children. Our classes combine early literacy skills with playful, engaging learning experiences in a nurturing environment.
The PositionWe are looking for an educator who genuinely enjoys working with preschoolers and is comfortable leading a small group in an engaging, hands-on classroom environment.
This is a part-time, school-year position with limited weekly hours, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator looking for a flexible teaching role.
Responsibilities- Lead engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for young children
- Create a warm, positive classroom environment
- Incorporate stories, literacy, movement, sensory experiences, and hands-on learning.
- Prepare and organize activities and classroom materials
- Communicate professionally and warmly with families
- Collaborate with TFLC's director and followthe TFLC framework provided
- Experience working with young children in a preschool, early childhood, elementary, or similar educational setting
- Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Child Development, Speech Pathology, or a related field preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Dependable, enthusiastic, creative, and comfortable taking the lead with a small group of children
- Passion for early childhood education and playful learning
