Assistant Manager

This job posting is for a position at a Fresh Monkee restaurant that is independently owned and operated by a Fresh Monkee franchisee. While the franchisee operates the restaurant using the Fresh Monkee brand, trademarks, products, and systems, the franchisee is a separate business and the employer of the employees who work at that location.

If you are hired for the position described in this posting, your employer will be the independent Fresh Monkee franchisee that operates the location, not Fresh Monkee Corporate. The franchisee is solely responsible for all employment-related decisions and matters at its restaurant, including hiring, onboarding, training, compensation, scheduling, supervision, discipline, and termination.

Fresh Monkee Corporate does not make individual employment decisions for independently owned and operated franchise locations and will not determine whether you are interviewed or hired. Employment applications are submitted directly to the franchisee operating the location and are handled by that franchisee.

The assistant manager (AM) is responsible for assisting the GM fulfill the operations requirements. To contribute to the growth, efficiency and success of the business.

Job Type: Part-time / full-time based on GM needs, location hours and sales.

Pay: $18/hr tips

Summary of responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

● Assist in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth workflow, and maintaining operational efficiency.

● Help manage staff schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage to meet customer demands.

● Monitor and maintain inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers (if needed) to ensure timely deliveries.

● Implement and enforce standard operating procedures to maintain consistency and quality.

● Memorize 30 recipes and be able to prepare multiple shakes at once. Prepare shakes per customer requests.

● Interact with customers regularly and professionally, answer questions about the nutritional benefits of our shakes and make recommendations based on customers' goals.

● Increase ticket sales by recommending and promoting add ons to customers

● Support the GM in ensuring exceptional customer service standards are met.

● Address customer inquiries, concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.

● Assist in training and mentoring staff to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

● Collaborate with GM to develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

● Assist in recruiting, hiring and onboarding new employees.

● Help train and develop team members, ensuring they have necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

● Support the GM in providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback. ● Retraining / refreshing procedures if needed.

● Collaborate with the GM to create a positive and motivated team environment.

● Support the GM in monitoring financial performance, including sales, expenses and profitability.

● Assist in maintaining accurate records and handling cash management procedures.

● Help implement strategies to optimize costs, reduce waste, and increase revenue.

● Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling guidelines. ● Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, including equipment maintenance.

● Help enforce proper food storage and handling practices to ensure product quality and safety.

● Work closely with the GM and other AM (if applicable) to ensure effective collaboration and teamwork.

● Act as a role model for staff, promoting a positive and professional work environment and excellent shop vibe.

● Must be dependable and flexible with availability.

● Ability to work quickly, multi-task with common sense and stay calm under pressure. Listen and communicate effectively.

● Must be available for shop emergencies and available in the absence of the GM

● Understand "all in" when it comes to running your own shop

● Strong attention to detail

● Proven working experience in restaurant industry

● Cash and key handling responsibilities.
