Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing outstanding guest relations and ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage reservations using OpenTable or similar reservation systems to optimize seating flow and reduce wait times
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing sales transactions efficiently
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism, including cocktail preparation, beverage service, and food handling in accordance with food safety standards
- Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness of dining areas through bussing and sanitation practices
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed and support kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, ideally with fine dining or hospitality settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing sales transactions accurately
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining accuracy in math calculations
- Experience with reservation management platforms like OpenTable is preferred
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards is advantageous
