Lead Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join The Fox Den Academy staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This role involves leading classroom activities, developing curriculum, and ensuring the overall welfare of students. The Lead Teacher will play a crucial role in supporting children's literacy and math skills while implementing early intervention strategies as needed. Frog Street curriculum is used at the Academy.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, math, and overall child development.
• Lead classroom activities that encourage active participation and foster a love for learning.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support child welfare and educational goals.
• Monitor student progress and provide individualized support to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with other educators to create to implement a cohesive curriculum.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to co-teachers and support staff.
• Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education and participate in ongoing professional development.

Experience

• Proven experience working with children in an educational or daycare setting.
• Strong understanding of literacy education principles and early intervention strategies.
• Experience in curriculum development tailored to young learners.
• Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Familiarity with learning technology tools that enhance educational experiences.
• Candidates should possess a genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering the growth of each child in their care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.75 per hour
