What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at The Four Chimneys Inn?
Responsibilities:
- Clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area including sweeping, mopping
- Assist with food preparation as needed
- Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- work on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening 5pm - end of shift (typically between 9-10pm)
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dishwasher in a hotel, restaurant, or similar setting is preferred
- Knowledge of basic food handling and safety guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Skills:
- Food preparation: Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and ability to assist with food prep tasks
- Cleanliness: Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes and utensils thoroughly
- Kitchen: Familiarity with kitchen equipment and appliances commonly used in a restaurant or hotel setting
- Restaurant: Understanding of restaurant operations and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Culinary: Basic understanding of culinary techniques and terminology used in a professional kitchen
- Food handling: Knowledge of proper food handling procedures to ensure food safety
- Food service: Ability to provide efficient and friendly service to customers or other staff members
