QC Systems Analyst - Empower/SampleManager

Pay: $45-60/hour W2. Our company offers our consultants a suite of benefits after a qualification period including health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance.

This is an onsite role in North Chicago, IL

12 Month W2 Contract role; C2C not possible.

Manager Notes

• Empower is the primary skill, but SampleManager experience will also work. Ideally, the manager would like both. This is a very hands-on role focused on building, testing, and validating custom calculations within these systems. The biggest priority is finding someone who can build calculations from scratch, not someone who has simply used Empower or SampleManager in a lab environment. This is an IT role, not a laboratory position. Candidates do not need any actual lab experience if they have strong hands-on calculation development experience in Empower or SampleManager.
• CSV experience alone is not enough. The manager needs someone who can actually build the calculations, not just validate systems.
• Candidates with comparable LIMS experience may be considered if their calculation development skills are transferable.
• Open to relocation at the candidate's own expense, but they must be able to start within 2-3 weeks. Local candidates are preferred.
  
  

Must-Haves

• 2-3 years of hands-on Empower or SampleManager experience, specifically building and validating calculations for level II - 5 years for level III
• Must have experience creating calculations from scratch, including configuration, testing, and qualification.
• Ability to independently write validation protocols, execute testing, and prepare validation/release reports.
• Must be able to handle the full process from calculation development through QC release.
• Strong technical understanding of Empower or SampleManager beyond basic end-user experience.
  
  

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with both Empower and SampleManager.
• Previous QC laboratory experience, particularly someone who started as a lab user and transitioned into systems development.
• Computerized System Validation (CSV) experience.
• OneTrack experience.
• Chemistry, laboratory informatics, or IT background supporting QC systems.
