This position provides exposure to all phases of construction management, including preconstruction, procurement, scheduling, cost control, document management, and field operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, technically capable, and interested in advancing into a Project Management role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate communication between owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
  • Maintain project documentation, correspondence, meeting minutes, and action-item logs.
  • Assist with project schedules, milestone tracking, and progress reporting.
  • Participate in owner, architect, contractor (OAC), and subcontractor coordination meetings.

  • Support subcontractor procurement and buyout activities.
  • Coordinate material procurement, long-lead equipment tracking, and delivery schedules.
  • Assist with value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.

Construction Administration

  • Prepare, track, and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, shop drawings, and other project documentation.
  • Review subcontractor submittals for general conformance with contract requirements prior to forwarding for design review.
  • Maintain current construction drawings, specifications, and document revisions.
  • Assist with change order documentation, pricing requests, and cost tracking.
  • Support monthly progress billing, subcontractor payment applications, and project financial reporting.
  • Track subcontractor performance, outstanding deliverables, and contractual requirements.

Field Operations & Quality Control

  • Work closely with Superintendents to coordinate construction activities and resolve field issues.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with project documents.
  • Assist with construction sequencing, logistics planning, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control procedures.
  • Assist with punch lists, inspections, commissioning coordination, and project closeout.
  • Promote compliance with company safety standards and applicable OSHA requirements.

Healthcare Construction

  • Support projects involving healthcare renovations, adaptive reuse, occupied facilities, and new construction.
  • Assist with coordination of healthcare-specific construction requirements, including life safety, infection control, and operational considerations.

  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to minimize disruption to ongoing healthcare operations when applicable.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant construction experience.

  • Understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, cost reporting, and change management.
  • Experience coordinating projects in occupied or operational facilities.
  • Familiarity with healthcare construction standards, life safety requirements, and regulatory processes.
