Duties
- Lead daily classroom activities, implementing Montessori principles tailored for infants to support their physical, cognitive, and emotional development
- Develop and execute age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development strategies focused on early childhood education and literacy education
- Foster a nurturing environment that promotes positive behavior management and social skills among infants and toddlers
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, milestones, and individualized care plans, ensuring transparency and strong relationships
- Maintain accurate documentation of each child's developmental progress, adhering to standards for childhood development and early intervention practices
- Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and sensory activities with compassion and professionalism
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to childcare, child welfare, and daycare regulations while maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment
Requirements
- Montessori AMS Certification for Infant/Toddler (or equivalent credential) is required
- Proven classroom management experience in early childhood settings with infants or toddlers
- Strong knowledge of child development theories, including special education and early intervention techniques
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing educational activities aligned with Montessori standards
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, staff, and community partners
- Familiarity with standardized testing methods used in early childhood education settings
- Demonstrated ability to work with children requiring additional support such as those involved in early intervention programs or special education services
