What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strength and Conditioning Coach position at The Fort?
Fortitude Strength Club is a semi-private personal training facility founded by Dan Trink and Kyle Fields in 2015 with 4 locations in NYC. The Fort NYC is a place where we take training seriously and do what works in order to create an environment for our members to become their most powerful selves. Our sessions are capped at 4 people led by expert trainers that are challenging for the most experienced members yet approachable for beginners.
We are in need of coaches to train sessions and mentor our clients and assistant trainers. Our coaches will be excellent at managing a busy training floor, expertly executing our training programs and providing cues and advice to help our members get the most out of their training sessions. We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who are great at building rapport with both clients and their fellow coaches and can command a room. Previous experience as a personal trainer or collegiate strength & conditioning will receive top priority.
Responsibilities include:
- Training multiple small group sessions per day.
- Guiding clients through our training programs including warm-ups, barbell-based strength training and conditioning.
- Maintaining a good relationship with our clientele and mentoring our assistant trainers.
- Providing technical advice and motivation to clients throughout their sessions.
- Work out at the gym, following our program at least 3x per week. (paid for time)

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
