Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with safety protocols.
• Utilize dental software systems such as Open Dental for patient management and documentation.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Operate 3D scanners for imaging as needed for specific procedures, Dexis and Carestream.
• Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming atmosphere tailored to their needs.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.
• Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in prosthodontics.

Skills

• Proficient in assisting with various dental procedures.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships within the clinic.
