Your role as a Human Resources Generalist:
· Assist with recruiting activities, including job postings, resume reviews, interview scheduling, candidate communication, background checks, and pre-employment processes.
· Participate in job fairs, recruiting events, and workforce outreach activities.
· Support onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, orientation preparation, HRIS entry, benefit enrollment support, and coordination with hiring managers.
· Assist with benefits administration, including employee inquiries, enrollment changes, open enrollment support, invoice review, carrier or broker communications, and maintaining accurate records.
· Serve as an approachable HR resource by answering routine employee and supervisor questions and escalating more complex matters as appropriate.
· Support employee relations activities by gathering information, documenting discussions, coordinating follow-up, and assisting with workplace issue resolution.
· Coordinate training and development activities, including scheduling, attendance tracking, record maintenance, and employee development programs.
· Collaborate with HR team members and business partners to deliver consistent, timely, and professional HR support across the organization.
What We’re Looking For:
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
· 2–5 years of experience in Human Resources, recruiting, benefits administration, HRIS support, or a related administrative role preferred.
· Experience with UKG or another HRIS platform preferred, including employee records, reporting, workflow approvals, and employee self-service tools.
· Recruiting and talent acquisition experience preferred, including applicant tracking systems, recruiting platforms, and candidate communications.
· Benefits administration experience preferred, including health and welfare plans, open enrollment, employee communications, and vendor interactions.
· Experience in a manufacturing, construction, industrial, multi-site, employee-owned, or ESOP environment is a plus.
· Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, follow through on assigned tasks, and meet deadlines.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HR systems, spreadsheets, email, and other business applications.
· Willingness to learn and support all core HR functions, including recruiting, benefits, employee relations, HRIS administration, leave administration, compliance, and employee communications.
