Position Summary:

The Forest is seeking dynamic individuals to join our team. This is a part-time position that requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability.


The dispensary professional is responsible for guiding customers through the process of selecting the appropriate product for their needs and by providing education of medical cannabis products. The dispensary professional is responsible for one-on-one interaction with customers from the time they walk in the store to the time they leave with their purchase and will provide excellent customer service while making the customer feel empowered and confident in their decision.


Essential Job Functions:

ü Register customer into the system using their patient ID card and/or photo identification, verify the recommendation and status of the patient ID card with Metrc registry; confirm all required profile fields are complete; check guest into the POS system

ü Using OARRS, verify days’ supply available when checking patient or caregiver in, when recommending a medication to avoid over administering medication, and at check out to make sure they are not being oversold

ü Adhere to any doctors’ notes in the system for dosing, medication type, and administration of medication

ü Provide education to patients on product types, uses, and dosage to ensure maximum benefit for their qualifying condition and symptoms

ü Confirm medication pulled matches the medication entered into the POS by checking product labels against the patients’ cart

ü Make certain all labeling requirements are completed at check out

ü Assist patients in person and by phone with inquiries and concerns

ü Adheres to and educates patients on Ohio laws and regulations as it relates to the Board of Pharmacy guidelines including methods of consumption and administration

ü Assist in daily inventory of cannabis and non-cannabis inventory

ü Responsible for communicating any activity or observations that are out of the ordinary.

ü Ensure compliance with applicable state and local laws through all stages of the sale of medical cannabis

ü Provide support to the General Manager, as requested, to ensure daily operations of the dispensary run smoothly, properly, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations

ü Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA

ü Other duties as assigned by your supervisor


Qualifications:

ü Must be at least 21 years of age

ü Must have a high school diploma, or the equivalent

ü Must be able to pass all background check requirements and obtain licensing as set forth by the Division of Cannabis Control

ü Retail or hospitality experience, preferred

ü Must be able to work opening, closing, weekends, and holidays

ü Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodation

ü Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

ü Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

ü Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services and sales control systems

ü Excellent verbal and written communication skills; active listening skills

ü Excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain composure during stressful situations

ü Ability to maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude

ü Must have good computer skills with the ability to learn new software and programs quickly

ü Must have an eye for details
