Project Manager – Industrial Construction
A leading industrial specialty contractor is seeking a Project Manager to support complex industrial construction projects across the Southeast. This position is ideal for someone with experience delivering rigging, mechanical, electrical, piping, or specialty subcontracting projects within heavy industrial environments.
The successful candidate will manage projects from award through closeout, working closely with Superintendents, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from preconstruction through final completion
- Oversee project budgets, forecasting, scheduling, and cost control
- Coordinate with Superintendents, field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project documentation
- Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress and financial reporting
- Support resource planning and manpower coordination
- Ensure projects meet all safety, quality, and contractual requirements
Requirements:
- 5 years of construction project management experience preferred
- Previous experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Engineer
- Background managing industrial subcontracting projects within one or more of the following:
- Rigging & Heavy Lift
- Mechanical
- Electrical
- Process Piping
- Millwright
- Experience delivering projects in heavy industrial environments such as manufacturing, power, pulp & paper, chemical, automotive, food & beverage, or advanced manufacturing
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred
