Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Janitor/Light Maintenance professional to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure our dealership remains clean, safe, and well-maintained, creating a welcoming environment for both customers and staff. Your proactive approach to cleaning and light maintenance tasks will help uphold our high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all dealership areas.
- Handle custodial tasks with attention to detail to maintain a spotless environment.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums safely and effectively.
- Conduct light maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, and facility upkeep to support overall building maintenance.
- Handle chemical agents safely following proper procedures for sanitation and cleaning products.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks using safe lifting practices to move supplies or equipment as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment while performing custodial and maintenance duties.
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely in accordance with safety procedures.
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and visitors.
- Experience with floor care including buffing, polishing, and maintaining various flooring types.
