Job Purpose
Provides a variety of skilled duties in one or more buildings, such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, cement masonry, minor electrical, dry wall, or other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining and repairing buildings and facilities. Utilize safety processes and procedures daily.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond immediately to emergency maintenance requests in the building.
- Repair leaky faucets, toilets, dispensers, and snake clogged plumbing when necessary.
- Wall cleaning, painting, plaster, and drywall when necessary.
- Repair and replace doors and windows when necessary.
- Minimum electrical work, depending on experience.
- Operate and maintain a variety of mechanical tools and equipment such as power saws, power sanders, drills, air compressors, paint sprayers, and various hand tools required for carpentry, plumbing, and maintenance skills.
- Assists in other departments and performs additional related duties as required.
- Understands and follows policies and procedures of the department and The Ford Field & River Club overall.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge and ability to operate tools and machinery.
- Valid driver’s license required with acceptable driver history.
- Must be able to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
- Follows through with all tasks, assignments, and job duties in a timely manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and the public.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication, and problem-solving skills.
Organizational Relationships
- Interact with staff and Members on a professional and experienced level daily.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; stand; walk; talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Bend, lift, open and move weight from 1 to 50 lbs., depending on need.
- Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary.

- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
