Cart Attendant

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides general labor to the golf club as directed by the Outside Supervisor and other key members of the management team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Stages carts in the morning for the day’s play.
2. Responsible for the driving range setup, organization, and cleanliness throughout the day. 
3. Keeps clubs and bags clean after daily use by members and guests.
4. Clean up range at the end of the day.
5. Ensure that every player’s clubs are cleaned before and after each round and that no member or guests load or unload their golf clubs.
6. Keep track of the tee sheet throughout the day.
7. Maintains a neat and clean appearance of golf carts and arranges them nearly after play.
8. Keeps the bag room, caddie room and rest room clean, orderly and well supplied at all times.
9. Follows the duties and responsibilities laid out by the Outside Supervisors on a day to day basis.  

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensure that all members, guests and co-workers are treated in a friendly and respectful manner in accordance with the standards of excellence of The Field and River Club.
2. Assists in other departments and performs additional related duties as required.
3. Understands and follows policies and procedures of the department and The Ford Field & River Club overall.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFIATIONS:

1. Must be very friendly and outgoing with strong customer service skills.
2. Previous experience working at a golf club desired.
3. Willingness to learn new golf related tasks, the sport of golf and general club management.
4. Excellent communication skills and professional appearance required.
5. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
6. Valid driver’s license required to drive golf carts.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Standing, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling.  Lifts 25 pounds occasionally up to 50 pounds.  Vision must be correctable to read and write.  Hearing must be sufficient to understand conversation on the telephone in a noisy environment.  Must have hand usage to load and unload clubs and drive golf carts.  Must be able to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays.
