What are the responsibilities and job description for the Science Regulatory Specialist position at The Ford Agency?

The Ford Agency is looking for an organized Regulatory Specialist to join a DC consulting firm. This individual will be tasked with monitoring legislation and regulations, drafting policy summaries, and responding to client inquiries. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven. This is a great role for someone with strong writing skills who has prior exposure to a STEM related regulatory affairs environment.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Track and summarize policy updates and regulations related to current projects
  • Maintain detailed meeting minutes and draft various documents for department review and external stakeholder presentation
  • Present projects at relevant meetings, regulatory agencies, and scientific community events
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely and thorough manner
  • Organize content for webinars, conferences, and other educational events


Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in political science, Chemistry, biology, or public policy
  • 3 years of government affairs, regulatory, or policy experience with a hard science focus
  • Professional writing and verbal communication skills
  • Project Management experience preferred


Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
