Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Owner's Representative to oversee construction activities on a large-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) project in Northern Nevada.

This is a long-term, site-based opportunity supporting a utility-scale renewable energy project. The Construction Manager will serve as the owner's on-site representative, monitoring contractor performance, coordinating inspections, and ensuring construction activities progress safely and in accordance with project requirements.

The initial phase of construction will focus heavily on civil work, followed by solar installation, mechanical construction, and other project activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the owner's primary on-site representative, providing daily construction oversight.
• Monitor contractor activities, construction progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Oversee civil construction, including earthwork, grading, compaction, backfill, and foundations.
• Coordinate third-party inspections and monitor compliance with project specifications.
• Monitor solar pile installation, mechanical construction, and associated field activities.
• Identify construction deficiencies, schedule impacts, and potential project issues.
• Communicate field concerns to the Project Manager and coordinate corrective actions with the appropriate parties.
• Provide regular construction progress updates and support overall site coordination.
• Help ensure contractors adhere to established safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Construction Manager, Site Manager, Construction Supervisor, or Owner's Representative.
• Utility-scale solar construction experience strongly preferred.
• BESS construction experience highly desirable.
• Strong background in civil construction, including earthwork, grading, compaction, and foundations.
• Experience coordinating contractors and third-party construction inspections.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote construction environment.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Additional Information

• Long-term project with the potential for additional assignments.
• Approximately 50 hours per week.
• Per diem and lodging support available for qualified travelers.

• Candidates must be willing to work on-site near Battle Mountain, Nevada.
