Duties
- Prepare and cook grilled items such as Philly cheese steaks, burgers, chicken, and seafood with attention to quality and consistency
- Handle frying tasks including breading, battering, and deep-frying of various foods to perfection
- Plate dishes attractively, ensuring each presentation meets restaurant standards
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and food safety guidelines diligently during meal preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill and fryer stations to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish presentation and preparation techniques
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple orders while maintaining high standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food service environment, especially with grilling and frying techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures to ensure hygiene and compliance
- Strong knife skills for precise cutting, slicing, and portioning of ingredients
- Experience with meal preparation, cooking methods, and food industry best practices
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
