Duties
- Greet guests warmly as a Hostess, managing reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using systems like OpenTable or similar platforms.
- Take and relay customer orders accurately using POS systems such as TOAST POS, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Serve food and beverages promptly as a Food Runner, maintaining high standards of presentation and food safety.
- buss tables, resetting dining areas, and maintaining cleanliness to uphold sanitation standards.
- Support the front-of-house team with guest relations by providing attentive customer service, addressing inquiries, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering procedures and manage basic math calculations for bills and tips.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and timely service in a fast-paced environment like a fine dining setting or nightclub.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service roles such as server, host/hostess, busser, or food runner within restaurant or hospitality settings.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and reservations management.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse customer needs professionally.
- Ability to manage time effectively in busy environments while multitasking between serving, bussing, and hosting duties.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations to ensure quality service.
- Basic math skills for cashiering, billing, and upselling menu items confidently.
- Experience in fine dining or nightclub atmospheres is a plus, along with culinary or kitchen experience that enhances understanding of food preparation and presentation.
