• This is not a gig-app delivery job.
• The Food Architects is a catering company based in Piscataway
• We are a 20-25 person company seeking to hire a full-time team member to help with our catering deliveries and order prep team

What You’ll Do

• On a typical day you'll deliver and set up one to five catering orders (in our company vans)
• At each delivery – you will greet the client professionally and neatly set-up food in office buildings, hospitals, and schools
• The rest of your time is at our Piscataway kitchen supporting our operations
• Such as packing and double-checking orders, staging equipment, cleaning, making supply runs (Costco, Restaurant Depot, etc.)

• This is a great fit if you've worked in the food industry before and are comfortable representing the company professionally with clients
• Interested in working for a small business where you are important to the team/operations and more than just a number
• Live near the Piscataway area and/or can easily navigate driving around central NJ
• Good attitude and care about quality and service
• This is not a good fit: if you are looking for a gig-style app with 100% driving and no customer contact.

Pay / Schedule

• $18–$20/hour base pay to start, depending on experience
• Full-time position (5 days per week) with hours typically 7AM to 3PM (may include Saturday), but hours can vary based on business need and deliveries.
• Typical week is 36-45 hours
• Flexibility for occasional evening deliveries is a bonus (a few later days per month).
• Opportunities to work catering events for extra work (event pay) and overtime during busy season.
• We are closed most Sundays and Holidays
• Overtime opportunity during busy seasons

What you need

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and carry it up stairs and through building entrances
• Comfortable talking to clients and representing us well on site
• Customer service or food service experience is a plus, not a requirement
