What are the responsibilities and job description for the Locksmith position at The Flying Locksmiths - Costal Carolinas?
We are looking for a candidate with experience as a locksmith who is dedicated to the profession. He or she will have excellent customer service skills, be a valuable team player, help grow the company and lead by example. Preference will be given to those with an active NC Locksmith License.
Responsibilities
* Make service calls during normal business hours
* Make occasional emergency service calls during non-business hours
* Ability to install, repair and maintain commercial and residential locks and hardware
* Ability to install doors a plus
* Work with other locksmiths working for franchise
* Assist in gathering information for projects to be quoted.
* Works with management to ensure proper inventory is stocked
* Knowledge of services and parts needed to complete estimates
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in the field
* Currently holds (or working towards gaining) a valid State of North Carolina locksmith license
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Must use a smartphone and/or tablet device
* Read and interpret procedures manuals
* Effectively present information to customers
* Clean criminal record and must pass background check
* Clean driving record
Be able to perform physical tasks required of a locksmith:
* Push, pull and lift 50 pounds
* Ability to kneel, crouch and stoop
* Ability to reach above and below shoulders
* To climb ladder
* Work in year-round weather conditions
Ability to:
* Install, repair and maintain access control hardware
* Install and repair doors
* Perform lock rekeying/perform pinning of locks
* Perform cuts on keys by code
* Clean, maintain, calibrate and service equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $39,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
