Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
• Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, processing retail sales transactions efficiently
• Handle cash and process payments with precision, maintaining accurate cash handling and retail math skills
• Serve food items promptly and professionally, maintaining food safety and proper food handling procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including cleaning tables, equipment, and workstations to promote a hygienic environment
• Engage with customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns promptly
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely beverage preparation and serving

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista or in food service within the food industry, demonstrating beverage service expertise
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail sales transactions
• Strong knowledge of non-alcoholic beverage preparation and drink service techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and processing transactions accurately
• Ability to follow food safety standards and handle food properly in a fast-paced setting
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
• Previous café or coffee experience is highly desirable to ensure smooth operation from day one
