Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electronic Technician role located in Avondale, AZ. The Electronic Technician will diagnose and repair smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other consumer electronic devices, including hardware and basic software issues. Daily responsibilities include conducting detailed troubleshooting, performing component-level repairs, ensuring all devices meet quality and safety standards before return to customers. The role involves routine maintenance, testing, and calibration of equipment, as well as documenting repair activities and parts used. The technician will also interact directly with customers to explain repair findings, provide realistic timelines, and support a positive in-store experience.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Electronics Technology and practical understanding of Electricity for consumer devices and related components.
- Proven Troubleshooting ability to diagnose hardware and basic software issues efficiently and accurately.
- Experience with Maintenance & Repair of smartphones, tablets, laptops, or similar electronic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality, safety, and minimizing repeat issues.
- Effective communication and customer service skills in a fast-paced retail repair environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks with fine motor skills.
- Prior experience in electronics repair, technical training, or a related certification is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional vocational or technical education in electronics is a plus.
