Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable, hospitality-driven Bartender to join our team. As we expand, we are looking for individuals who can honor our family’s legacy while driving the operational excellence required for a high-volume dining destination.
Our beverage program emphasizes craft cocktails, quality wines, and locally sourced beers and spirits, with a focus on seasonal ingredients, low-waste practices, and historic cocktail traditions. We believe that every ingredient and every recipe has a story. The ideal candidate combines technical skill with intellectual curiosity, balancing efficiency with thoughtful, informed service.
Pay
$10 plus gratuity
Position Summary
Bartenders are responsible for being friendly, outgoing, and possess good communication skills. Position responsible for ensuring guests’ enjoyment. In this role, you must remain organized and able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure in a fast-paced environment. Be guest sensitive and possess a sense of timing. Take pride in personal appearance and show dedication to your job. Display integrity and honesty in all aspects of your employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Welcome each guest personally using enthusiastic language, tone, and body language.
- Make guests feel appreciated through attentive, engaging, and professional service.
- Work collaboratively with all personnel to maintain an efficient food and beverage service environment.
- Run food, drinks, and other items as needed according to the established steps of service.
- Work with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to the Company’s standards at all times
- Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following standard recipes.
- Maintain an attractive display by arranging bottles and glasses to the Company’s standard at all times
- Clear, clean and reset tables and bar tops; properly sorting, and dropping silverware, glassware and plateware to proper areas.
- Input drinks and food into POS, maintain an accurate check at all times for the guest.
- Input drink orders into the computer immediately, collect money from guests for drinks served and make change.
- Wash and sterilizes stemware
- Count drinks guests are served and track open bar tabs
- Practice “athletic hospitality” by anticipating guest needs and follow the half-full rule when offering another drink; remains alert of Guest signals (raising a hand, looking directly at you, etc.), and acknowledges Guest so they know you will be right with them
- Learn guests’ names, occupations, and favorite drinks
- Verify identification and Responsibly serves alcohol and remains aware of guests’ state of intoxication
- Follow other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Previous bartending experience in quality-focused environment
- State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card
- Ability to pass Responsible Service of Alcohol Test and maintain a score of 90% or better
- Basic mathematical skills and an ability to handle money and give correct change
- Follow all federal, state, and local alcohol regulations
- Adhere to cleaning and draft system maintenance protocols
- Basic reading skills
- Basic computer skills
- Basic knowledge of beer styles, wine, and spirits, and be familiar with standard drink recipes and foundational techniques
- Excellent communication skills and multitasking skills
- Organizational skills
- Multi-task oriented
- Knowledge of Company’s food and beverage specifications
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
