Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and menu specifications
- Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks to ensure timely meal service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Follow recipe instructions meticulously to ensure consistency and quality of dishes
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
- Collaborate with culinary staff to execute meal plans while adhering to dietary guidelines and menu plans
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
