Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing a variety of menu items with attention to recipe adherence and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, and other culinary tools
- Support food production by handling food safely, following sanitizing procedures, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen
- Contribute to meal preparation for high-volume production environments, ensuring timely service without compromising quality
- Practice proper food handling techniques and uphold food safety management protocols at all times
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient organization to streamline kitchen operations
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work area by following food safety sanitizing procedures and ensuring compliance with health regulations
Experience
- Previous dietary aide or dietary department experience preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Experience in food service, restaurant settings, or catering environments demonstrating strong food handling skills
- Proven ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in high-volume production settings
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitizing procedures essential for maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment
- Strong knife skills and experience with recipe adherence are highly desirable
