The Fischer Group is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for leading our manufacturing group to meet customer needs, regulatory and quality requirements, safety standards, and organizational goals.
We are an end-to-end product development company delivering agile innovation and speed-to-market, bringing our customers’ ideas from concept to manufacturing and into market in a matter of months. We manufacture disposable, consumer packaged goods running Monday through Friday, with some weekend shifts scheduled as needed.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and run the day-to-day manufacturing operations for 2–6 contract manufacturing projects.
- Ensure employee safety and compliance with all safety regulations.
- Maintain product quality to meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure raw materials are delivered just-in-time.
- Ensure staffing levels meet production and warehouse needs while driving staffing efficiencies.
- Deliver on production line efficiency and output quotas on a daily and weekly basis.
- Ensure policies and procedures for ERP/MRP systems, quality, safety, GMP, and general operations are followed.
- Coach, develop, and train line leaders, supervisors, and warehouse leadership to strengthen leadership capability and execution.
- Partner with line leaders to ensure operators and production staff receive proper training and coaching.
- Lead and reinforce daily communication (operations meetings, pre-shift huddles, end-of-shift reviews) to drive alignment, engagement, and accountability.
- Act as a role model for continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing practices, developing both processes and people.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (minimum); advanced education preferred.
- 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations.
- Proven ability to train, coach, and mentor both supervisors and frontline employees.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate employees at all levels.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues effectively.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Bilingual or conversational Spanish (preferred; not required).

Pay: $88,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
