Job Summary
As an EFDA, you’ll work closely with our dentists and hygienists to ensure that each visit is smooth, efficient, and comfortable for our patients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include placing and carving restorations, preparing treatment rooms, assisting with a wide range of dental procedures, and ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained. Responsibilities
- Perform expanded functions, including placing and carving restorations.
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for procedures
- Assist during a variety of dental procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Record patient medical histories and treatment information
- Manage patient flow and ensure timely appointments
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical area
- Perform basic lab tasks as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current EFDA certificate/license
- Dental assisting experience preferred
- X-ray certification
- CPR certification (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
