What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Fitness Instructor position at The Fieldhouse Strength and Conditioning?
The Fieldhouse Tucson is a growing Strength and Conditioning gym that is looking for a part time/substitute group fitness coach. Applicants must be familiar with strength training via classic weightlifting, power lifting, olympic lifting, and body weight movements. Additionally, familiarity with gymnastics and aerobic capacity training are a bonus. We appreciate you taking the time to review the list of qualifications and to apply for the position. Responsibilities for group fitness coach:
- Coach a 60 min group fitness class in accordance with the lesson plan flow
- Be knowledgeable and/or be able to demonstrate all physical movements
- Understand and can demonstration movement progressions of exercises
- Educate, motivate and challenge members
- Correct exercise form to prevent injuries
- Attend monthly/mandatory coaches meetings
- Working closely with the Owners and Head Coach to ensure best member experience
- Deliver predesigned workouts to groups up to 12 clients
- Keep gym clean, neat, safe and organized
- Understand the basics of fitness tracking software (specifically WODBoard)
- Be familiar with Rogue fitness timers/remotes and Sonos speaker systems via wifi
Qualifications for group fitness coach
- 2 years personal training and group instruction experience is required
- Certified Trainer/Instructor/Coach from any licensed fitness entity (e.g. NSCA/ACE/NASM/CrossFit)
- Must have personal training/group fitness instructor insurance coverage
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
