Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Rooms Divisions Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our hotel’s guest services, front desk, housekeeping, and overall guest experience. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all departments within the Rooms Division, including front desk, housekeeping, guest services, night audit, and reservations.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Manage revenue streams through effective pricing strategies, upselling techniques, and inventory control to maximize profitability.
- Oversee staffing schedules, training programs, and human resources functions to ensure a motivated and well-trained team.
- Maintain high standards of guest service by ensuring staff adhere to hotel policies, phone etiquette, multi-line phone system protocols, and hospitality best practices.
- Monitor daily operations such as check-ins/check-outs, room assignments, guest inquiries, complaint resolution, and special requests.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to uphold cleanliness standards and safety regulations.
- Handle guest relations proactively by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring memorable experiences for all visitors.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate events or special accommodations that enhance the overall guest experience.
- Manage budgeting processes within the Rooms Division while controlling costs related to staffing, supplies, and maintenance.
- Stay informed on industry trends such as resort amenities or hospitality innovations to continually improve service offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in hospitality management or hotel operations with a focus on Rooms Division functions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with effective communication abilities in multiple languages; bilingual skills are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of hotel management systems, multi-line phone systems, night audit procedures, and reservation platforms.
- Experience in revenue management strategies aimed at maximizing occupancy rates and profitability.
- Familiarity with human resources practices including staff scheduling, training, and conflict resolution.
- Background in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting within a hospitality setting.
- Demonstrated ability to handle guest relations professionally while maintaining high standards of service quality.
