Position Summary
The Job Site / Crew Director is a senior operational leadership role responsible for overseeing all job sites and field crews for The Ferris Moving Company. This position ensures that all employees are actively working, following company policies, maintaining professional conduct, and performing jobs efficiently and safely.
The primary responsibility of the Job Site / Crew Director is to monitor, manage, and enforce operational standards across all crews and job sites. This position acts as the top on-site authority during active jobs, ensuring that all operations are completed correctly, safely, and in compliance with company procedures.
Primary ResponsibilitiesCrew Oversight
- Supervise all moving crews across active job sites
- Ensure employees are working efficiently and not wasting time
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Address and correct employee performance issues immediately
- Maintain professionalism and proper conduct among crews
Job Site Management
- Maintain full oversight of all active job sites
- Ensure jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to company standards
- Monitor crew productivity and workflow
- Resolve on-site issues or operational problems
- Ensure proper loading, packing, and protection of customer property
Policy Enforcement
- Ensure crews follow all company procedures including:
- Furniture protection policies
- Truck loading protocols
- Equipment usage rules
- Customer service expectations
- Break and time management policies
- Report policy violations to company leadership when necessary
Operational Leadership
- Provide direction to supervisors, drivers, and movers
- Ensure all team members understand their responsibilities
- Coordinate crews when needed between job sites
- Maintain strong communication with company leadership and office staff
Quality Control
- Ensure jobs meet company quality standards
- Verify proper damage prevention practices are being followed
- Monitor handling of specialty items and heavy equipment
- Ensure trucks and equipment are properly maintained during jobs
Authority & Leadership Role
The Job Site / Crew Director has operational authority over all field employees during active job operations, including:
- Movers
- Drivers
- Crew leaders
- On-site supervisors
This role is responsible for maintaining order, enforcing policies, and ensuring crews operate efficiently at all times.
RequirementsLicense Requirements
- Valid Driver's License required
Truck Driving Ability
Must be able to safely operate company moving trucks, including:
- 10 ft box trucks
- 15 ft box trucks
- 20 ft box trucks
- 26 ft box trucks
Driver must understand:
- Safe vehicle operation
- Proper truck loading
- Maneuvering large trucks
- Parking and job site positioning
Required Skills

Performance-Based Raise Opportunity
Employees in this role may qualify for a pay increase from $22.50 per hour up to $30.00 per hour based on:
