What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metal Processing Machine Operator (2nd Shift) position at The Federal Metal Company?
Responsibilities:Drain, transfer, or remove molten metal from furnaces, and place it into molds, using hoists, pumps, or ladles.Prepare material to load into furnaces, including cleaning, crushing, or sorting, bricking, by using crushing machines, briquetting machines, shovels etc.Controlling Machines and Processes.Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, Heavy Machinery and/or Equipment.Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or SubordinatesAt times working in confined spaces.Using equipment such as hand tools, industrial metal furnaces, tow motors, blasters and overhead cranes.Comfortable wearing FULL RESPIRATORY SAFETY EQUIPMENT.Standing and bending for long periods of time.Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.Working with a team as well as independently.Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials during your shift.Follow all company safety practices and rules.Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Employee Handbook and adhere to proper code of conduct while on company property.Hot work and lockout/tagout operation.Company DescriptionWith Cleveland as our home since 1913, we’ve remained rooted in old-school integrity, beliefs and values, growing our business by working hard and being honest.
